Bright Red Jam Tarts

These bright red jam tarts are quick and easy to make, so perfect for baking with the little ones.

Approx. 350g ready made pastry
A little plain flour, for dusting
6 tbsp good quality raspberry jam
150g fresh raspberries
Method

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pastry to about the thickness of a one pound coin. Cut out as many 7cm circles
as you can and use to line the holes in a bun tin or two. Chill for 30 mins. - 2
Preheat the oven to 190°C/fan 170°C/gas 5.

Fill each pastry case about ¾ of the way up with jam. Add a raspberry to each, pushing it into the jam a little.

Bake for 20-25 mins or until the pastry is golden. Be careful when you take the tarts out of the oven, as the jam will be hot and runny. Allow to cool and enjoy.
